I am often asked, "Can we have the magic show in the backyard or at the park?"

There is a reason you see a movie, concert, or play in a theater. In a theater we can control your surroundings and your attention. The same is true of the magic show.

With an indoor magic show I don't have to worry about the weather, who's walking around behind me, or my surroundings — I can focus entirely on delivering the best quality show for your celebration. Outside, I cannot deliver the same performance. Sound quality drops, kids get distracted, I get distracted, the wind blows, the sun is in my eyes, the sun is in their eyes. The list goes on and on.

Outside, the kids can become distracted by a multitude of things. All it takes is for one or two children to wander off. The next thing you know, the rest of the kids are distracted, the show loses a lot of its momentum, you don't get those great photos, and your child is no longer the focus of the party.

After 37 years of performing children's and family parties, I have learned a great deal. It is my experience that makes me one of the top birthday party performers in the area. I have spent years developing a show that focuses on bringing families and friends together to celebrate your special event. I put all my energy, skills, and heart into making this the best performance I can for you, your family, and your guests. After thousands of shows over 37 years, I have learned that indoor shows have the best success rate and yield the best show, photos, and memories.

If you just want an amusement to keep the kids busy, there are a lot of cheaper options than me.

Still Set on an Outdoor Show?

If you're still committed to the outdoor option, here are the conditions that must be met. These are not suggestions — they are part of the outdoor service contract, and Robert maintains the right to walk away from any performance that does not meet these conditions without refunding any payment.

  • 1You must book it as an outdoor show in advance. No last-minute outdoor requests will be considered.
  • 2The outdoor show will only be 30 minutes.
  • 3None of the custom-built, colorful props will be used — they are too expensive and subject to being blown by wind.
  • 4Complete payment must be paid in advance and is non-refundable.
  • 5Your outdoor show will be cancelled if it rains, is too hot, cold, or windy for Robert to perform comfortably. No refund will be issued — have a back-up plan.
  • 6The outdoor performance area must be on solid ground. No grass, gravel, or sand.
  • 7The outdoor performance area must be fully covered.
  • 8The area must be easy to access — close parking and a clear, solid walkway.

Book your outdoor show in advance and come prepared. When the conditions are right, we'll put on a great show — but the indoor experience will always be where the real magic happens.
